Terms and Conditions of Use
This website is owned and maintained by the Ayrshire Philharmonic Opera Society (hereinafter referred to as APOS). The use of this website is subject to the following terms and conditions which you should read carefully. By using this website you agree to be legally bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not accept these terms and conditions, please do not use this website.
- APOS does not accept any liability for users’ equipment through use of the site.
- APOS reserves the right to remove all or part of the site without prior notice.
- By using this website, its services and any associated information you agree to defend, indemnify and hold APOS harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities and costs whatsoever. You agree that APOS does not have any responsibility whatsoever for the information and contents provided on this site.

Privacy Policy
1. How we collect and use personal information
When you sign up for an APOS account, we may ask you for certain personal information such as your name and email address. When creating an APOS account or contacting us on the contact us form, we will automatically receive information about the date and time of your request, your Internet protocol address, your browser type, your operating system and application version.
We will use your personal information (i) to allow you to sign in and comment on the site, (ii) to communicate with you regarding legitimate APOS business, (iii) to personalise and improve the APOS Website, (iv) to develop new services on the APOS Website, (v) to protect the copyright-protected content of the APOS Website (e.g. by limiting access to certain content to users with an APOS account), and (vi) as otherwise stated in this APOS Privacy Policy.
If you connect your APOS account to Facebook, we will make available and/or share your Facebook user name and your Facebook profile picture to other APOS Website users.
2. Sharing information with others
We will only share your personal information, for the purposes set forth under Section 1 (i) to (vi) above or as is necessary to:
- Enforce the terms and conditions of the APOS Website Terms and Conditions of Use.
- Comply with laws and regulations, requests from a governmental or administrative body or court, or to respond to litigation.
- Allow advertising audits and analysis measuring the size and composition of the group of users that have listened to and/or viewed an advertisement or other promotional information.
If you have connected your APOS account to Facebook, we may share with Facebook information related to your use of the APOS Website, such as comments you have made, and such information may be published on Facebook’s websites or services. Information shared to Facebook will be attributed to the Facebook account to which your APOS account is connected. Facebook’s use of such information and any information it collects from your use of or on its service is governed by Facebook’s privacy policy and APOS’s use of information is governed by this APOS Privacy Policy. You understand and agree that you need to consult both privacy policies to amend or delete personal information which has been provided to Facebook. If you do not wish for such use of data to take place, you should not agree to share information about the music you play to Facebook and/or adjust your settings to deactivate such sharing. Information no longer shared on Facebook may continue to be publicly available to other APOS users as otherwise described in this APOS Privacy Policy.
3. Transfer of personal information to other countries
APOS hosts its website on servers provided by Zen Internet. All your personal data is processed and held within the United Kingdom.
4. Security
We take a number of steps to keep your personal information secure from unauthorized access. For example, we ask you to use a unique and strong password and not to share this information with anyone. Further, we respect and comply with EU legislation on data protection.
5. Access to personal information and corrections
You can access and update some of the personal information we keep on you through the APOS Website or by sending a request via the contact us page. We will respond to your request upon verification of your identity within a reasonable period of time, and to the maximum extent practical.
6. Links
We may display links to third party websites. Please note that we cannot control and cannot be held responsible for the privacy policies of such websites. You should always read the privacy policy of a website to find out more about how personal information is collected and processed.
7. Cookies
We may also store information about you using cookies (files which are sent by us to your computer or other access device) that we can access when you visit the APOS Website in future. We do this to help improve the user experience of the website.
